The house was amazing. All the bedrooms were as described. Beautiful views. There were 16 of us and we were all very comfortable. Greg or someone on his staff answered promptly when we made any inquiries. The problem we had getting in at the beginning was just a fluke that will most likely not be repeated, and it worked out just fine because both sides are exactly the same. When we had a problem with one of the TVs, maintenance was sent right away. The cleaning staff came right on time and were very friendly.

Was a beautiful home. Would stay again. The only proble. I had was the bedroom on first floor in the bathroom the faucet does not go with sind. Everytime you turned on sink water went everywhere. Also the mirror is way to high. I'm 5'6 and had a very hard time doing anything using the mirror. Other then that it was a wonderful place.

The castle in the sky west home is simply beautiful. The home is well equipped with everything you need to prepare meals for a large group the two refrigerators and the double ovens came in handy. The views are simply breathtaking. The memories that my family made is priceless, my family is already talking about rebooking this home. Greg is a wonderful host and replies to emails in a timely manner.

This was our first time in Orange Beach. This home is everything it says and even more. You are just a few short steps to the beach, a wonderful pool out your back door and if you are looking for other things to do, there is plenty near by and lots of food options also. Greg was great to work with and very quick to respond anytime we had a question. We definitely hope to go back.

We enjoyed our half of this house this week, good times and great memories where made. Our group of 17, ages 4-79, had lots of room to spread out and enjoy the week with lots of time at beach and in the pool. Nice area on gulf it was like we had our own beach area, no crowds making it even better for this relaxing week. Weather was just as we ordered, sunshine, sunshine and more sunshine.

This ended up being everything we had hoped for! We took a group of 30 of our staffers, boys on one side and girls on the other, and literally everyone fit comfortably. Both units were absolutely perfect in cleanliness, size and space. The location is also perfect, being right on the beach and not too far from town. We had so much fun and are already making plans to come back next year!!

Perfect trip from top to bottom. House was really nice, even better than the pictures. Small things like the double fridge and ice machine set this place a part. Just steps from the water and for those who like to have fun, a short walk to one of the best bars in the South. And btw...we bought a few fishing rods on our way in and caught fish at will from the beach. Can't wait to come visit again next year.

My fanily and I just returned home from our beach vacation at Castle in the Sand West. Over the years we have rented various properties but this one was the very best! The accommodations were amazing and first class. There were eleven of us and more than enough room for each to have their own space. Literally steps to the beach and the private pool was a huge plus. A big shout out to property manager Greg Crews. From the time we booked until the time we left, he was always on top of things and very prompt to respond with any questions or concerns. He definitely rates a 10 out of 10 and the property gets a 5 star rating from me and all my family. Hoping to book again next year!

"Perfect and Beautiful Place for a Family Reunion"

The views from this home is stunning! The home is beautiful inside and out. We rented this place for our first beach family reunion. The house had everything we needed for a big family gathering. Plenty of cleaned bedrooms and bathrooms for all! We loved the spacious kitchen and living room area, especially the bay window area to watch dolphins in the morning. The private pool and beach area were awesome for the children. The beach was very nice and not crowded. We will definitely book here again and recommend to others!

"We found the perfect beach house!"

Our big family has been beach vacationing together for the past 19 years. Over the years we have stayed in many houses in different locations--North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Florida-- and Castle in the Sand West in Orange Beach is by far the best house we have ever rented. After our stay I talked with family members of all ages and we agree we want to return to this spectacular house ASAP! That’s saying a lot because we have stayed in some great houses over the years. This house was perfect for a large group like ours. It is evident that lots of thought and planning went into this huge, beautiful, spotless house. There is plenty of room for everyone. The large open kitchen, dining area, and gathering area was perfect for us, there is even a separate bar area with an extra sink and an ice maker that actually kept up with our needs. This is in addition to two huge refrigerators with ice makers as well. We cook all our own meals so the large efficient gas stove was great. Everything we needed to prepare and eat meals was available—plenty of silverware, dishes, big pots and pans, etc. The area is very quiet and family oriented, the beach and the water are very clean, and the waves are gentle for our little ones to swim in the ocean and play on the beach. The pool is wonderful and the walk to the beach is VERY short. I give my highest recommendation to Castle in the Sand West. And to make our vacation perfect, Greg was very easy to contact and he was kind, caring and helpful. I could tell it truly mattered to him that we have a great vacation experience. We will return to Castle in the Sand West for many years to come.

"Castle in the Sand"

I cannot even begin to tell you how much we enjoyed Castle in the Sand beach house! You really thought of everything and spared no expense on the appliances, furnishings, fixtures and decorations. It is beautifully done. If we heard it one time, we heard it a hundred "we love this house" by everyone in our group! It was so great to already have Beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas, etc. there for everyone to use. The family with little ones were complementing all of the safety features (higher door knobs, baby gates) also! We had amazing neighbors who invited some of our guys to go along with them on a deep sea fishing trip and they had a son about my son's age who became fast friends:) We have made memories there that will last a lifetime! Thank you for everything!"

I could not see another place being more perfect for our group. Once in a lifetime trip for our Kansas City family of 26 ranging from my 75yr old mother-in-law, her 3 kids and spouses, 13 grandkids and 7 great grandkids. Youngest being 4months old. The online description was spot on. We cooked 3 meals a day at the house. The main floor had plenty of space to all gather and bond. Yet, everyone having their own rooms and bathrooms, we never felt on top of each other. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook, bake or grill each meal with ease for our large group. The 2 dishwashers, ovens and refrigerators were much used. The 3 levels of the house were very steep. Next time I would not take 1 large suitcase. 2 smaller would've been easier to tote. I said the stairs just helped work off the extra vacation calories we were consuming. We did strategically put the kids and teens on the 3rd floor. They appreciated the 3rd floor tv area to get away from the adults occasionally. The pool was perfect to step out and socialize or take a quick dip. And of course the beach was well attended being only a dune bridge away. One evening we played a wiffle ball game with the family in the east unit on the beach. The owners were very responsive and patient to all my questions. We played free bingo at Flora-Bama one rainy afternoon. The 20s also enjoyed walking there at night. There was backed up traffic from Flora-Bama that went in front our house. Not a big deal but did make it hard to get out of our driveway after 7pm. We went out one dinner as a group to Flipdaddy's. They had a band and cornhole games in an open air restaurant. Food was great. Souvenir stores and groceries were conveniently over the bridge just west of us. I would 100% recommend this property.

"Beautiful home and beach!"

We do a huge family trip to the beach every year, this was our first stay in Orange Beach. 16 "adults" and 4 kids. This house was perfect! The owner was easy to reach if we needed anything. We've stayed in a lot of large homes over the years and this is the first one that had a kitchen that actually had EVERYthing we needed AND everything worked! The bedrooms/bathrooms were all great. The pool was awesome for the kids and when the beach got really hot. The walk to the beach was short and easy, they had beach chairs and toys to use, and the beach was pretty much ours. I would definitely recommend staying here. Great memories - thank you!!

"Amazing spring break in an amazing house!"

WOW! Was the first word out of all 17 of us that walked into this beautiful house! The house is amazing! It was very clean and very tastefully decorated! It actually even feels larger than what the pictures show. The owners thought of everything in this house for large groups, such as two dishwashers, two large refrigerators, three ice makers, and a large pantry. Each bedroom basically having their own private bath was a huge plus as well. With 17 in the house, we never once felt crowded. Even on game nights, we all had a place to sit. The location of the house is close to everything you may need from grocery stores to restaurants to shopping, etc. It is only 1/2 mile to the popular FloraBama, which we walked to a couple of nights. We loved being right on the beach and the swimming pool was a plus as well! Every single window has a beautiful view! Greg was very easy to work with as well. He responds immediately to any questions you may have! We definitely plan on returning and staying here again!

"Castle in the Sand West"

We really enjoyed the property and it was the perfect size for our family. You can’t beat the location and the views! We appreciate the opportunity to rent the house, and we plan to be back in the future. We’ve had many people oooh and ahhh over our photos shared on Facebook and they are asking for info on the property – expect future visitors from WI!

"This house was better than advertised! Amazing!"

We had a group of 15 junior girls and 10 moms rent this house for spring break. The house was so much more than we had anticipated. The house was huge, so we had plenty of room for everyone. Everything was well made, clean and beautifully decorated. The two refrigerators and an extra icemaker were all utilized and appreciated. We had the pool heated and the girls used it pretty much daily. The view was just beautiful! We had ample seating for all of us - we all loved the huge window seat, the large comfy couch and chairs and the huge dinner table and counter area. We walked to Flora Bama for lunch, and the gumbo was outstanding!! We also enjoyed Fisher's, Louisiana Lagniappe, Doc's, Cobalt, Big Fish, Lambert's and Live Bait. The girls liked riding the mechanical shark at Live Bait and then dancing at The Hangout. They also liked the ice cream, chocolate covered goodies and shakes at Kayden's Candy Factory and also at Scoops. The house is close to grocery stores and pretty much whatever you need. Everybody enjoyed shopping at Shades and at The Wharf. We also had our own boardwalk for the very short walk from the house to the beach. The beach was beautiful and it was cleaned every night. We all felt very safe and comfortable in this house. We would definitely recommend it and would stay there again. The management company was great to work with!

"Best place for a wedding"

The house was perfect for my wedding. It has a nice open floor plan so no one felt like they were on top of one another. Everyone who attended was shocked by how clean and beautiful the house was. Booking this house was easy and the person I worked with was so kind. I hope to stay there again soon.

"Amazing Trip"

My family and close family friends stayed at Castle West, and we had a ball! Great view of the gulf, large spacious home with beautiful decor, comfy bedding and a large kitchen stocked with all the necessities! Loved pouring a cup of coffee and venturing out on the private balconies to watch the waves roll in. We enjoyed the private pool and grilling out on the deck. The kids had a great time, as did the parents and grandparents. Nicest beach home we've ever stayed at! The prime location also made for a great beach get away; we were just minutes away from grocery stores, great restaurants, and shopping at the wharf!

"Perfect Setting, Perfect House"

We rented this home with 4 other families..and included kids from ages 3-10. We could not have had a better experience. This home is beautiful and worked perfectly for all ages. The large first floor kitchen and living space made family meals not feel cramped. We enjoyed the pool as much as we enjoyed the quick walk to the beautiful beach. The owners spared no expense with this home. They truly thought of everything from the individual master suites to the abundant beach toys, well stocked kitchen...the house had it all. It was said multiple times throughout the trip...this house is perfect. We are already looking into booking next year. Added bonus, the owner communication is top notch. You will not be disappointed!

"Castle in the Sand"

We are a diverse and delightful mix of people from Nashville(24 total) who have become a big family and just wanted to hang out, relax, unwind, and enjoy some down time. It was a little chilly during our stay, but we still got a couple good, solid beach days in! We could not have enjoyed ourselves as much as we did without this amazing home!! The home is much more spacious than it looks!! The pictures do not do this place justice! The kitchen is fantastic to work in and has a giant pantry! The back deck with the pool was wonderful! All the bedrooms and bathrooms were so nice and neat! The views are phenomenal from anywhere in the home! The location couldn't have been more perfect! The house was just down the street from FloraBama and minutes to fast-food, local restaurants, and shops in either direction. The owner was always prompt to answer any questions and was always so pleasant! This vacation home and entire experience was the perfect escape from reality and we hope to return in the future!!

"Soccer Weekend"

We stayed in this gorgeous beach house with 7 families with sons playing in a soccer tournament in Perdido. The accomodations were perfect for each family with their own room and private bathroom. The boys enjoyed staying together in the bunk room that sleeps 8. The decor in each room was unique and so inviting and tranquil. We had plenty of room to eat together, relax together in a welcoming environment. By far the best place I have stayed in all my years going to the beach (25 +). I would highly recommend this house for large families or friends needing accomodations for 26. We loved it and would go back in a hearbeat! All the amenities and more for a memorable stay! Thanks to the wonderful Mr. Crews for all of his hospitality. Castle in the Sand West is the best 🙂

"Castle In The Sand-Home Away From Home!"

There are no words that I could use to describe this amazing beach home...every inch of it was truly spectacular!!!! My family and I had a blast there. It's right on the beach. The pictures that are posted on the website does not do this home justice...you have to see it to believe it!!!! And the owner is equally as nice and was a joy to work with when I began inquiring about reserving this property for our family getaway. THANKS! We certainly will be returning in the near future.

"Perfection!"

I considered probably every rental home from Orange Beach to Fort Morgan looking for the perfect house for our family vacation. Castle in the Sand West is absolutely perfect! My family of 9 adults and 3 toddlers (4 generations) had the best trip ever. The house is gorgeous. The owner has thought of everything. I never realized how great having two dishwashers and 2 refrigerators would be! The decorating is so lovely and clearly no expense was spared when this house was designed and built. I can't say enough. Having a heated pool (October) was fantastic especially for the little ones when they got tired of the sand. The house is very close to the beach with just a short boardwalk.This worked out great for all the group especially the oldest and youngest in the group. We used the grill several times and really didn't feel the need to go out to dinner. Although this is a duplex, the house and outdoor space has been designed in such a way as to make it as private as possible. The owner was so easy to work with and I am already planning our next visit. Thank you for sharing this beautiful home.

"Perfect Place"

Our recent stay was more than amazing! The house is impeccable with every amenity one would need. The pool is big enough for kids and adults to enjoy during a break from the beach. The rooms were very spacious and the third floor is perfect place for the kids to hang out. We will definitely be back to stay!

"Lost Luggage"

I lost a piece of critically important luggage while staying at Castle in the Sand - West. Greg Crews with the property management group bent over backward in his efforts to locate the missing luggage. He couldn't locate it, because it was actually in the trunk of my sister-in-law's car. Not sure how it got there. Anyway, I've never had a property manager work so diligently to help me in this way. The property was great and Greg was great!

This was our first ever family vacation,it was a wonderful spending time in this beautiful house, with 26 members of our family and everyone enjoyed every minute of that week. The whole home was so spacious and beautiful. Every room in this house was great,as was the pool and beach

"Exquisite Vacation"

The house was exquisite. My family and I were amazed at the spacious architecture and extraordinary beautiful decor. My favorite rooms were the contemporary living room, dining area, and kitchen. I don't know if I can ever rent another house with my extended family without having 2 dishwashers, 2 refrigerators, double sinks, 2 ovens, bathrooms connected to many of the bedrooms, and many hidden amenities. It made cooking and cleaning so much easier and fun. The whole family pitched in and was able to do our chores quickly. There were times I needed privacy and this house's unique design enabled me to nap and read while other members of the family relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful beach. The swimming pool was a big hit for the younger members of the family. The balconies in each of the bedrooms overlooking the beach were an added bonus. The environment was impeccable in every respect. It was a home away from home but even better because I was able to share the experience with my extended family. My only regret is that we had to leave way too early.

"Exceeded expectations and more!"

We stayed here for a week in March with 4 families (11 kids ages 2-10). This house exceeded all expectations we could have had. Being right on the beach was easy for all of us and the pool was perfect for the kids! The kitchen was well equipped for all meals and the huge dining room table allowed us to all eat at the same time. There was plenty of space for all of us and we never felt on top of each other. We hardly even noticed there was another side to the house! We've already recommended Castle in the Sand to many friends and have even booked our next trip!

"Wonderful Vacation, Incredible Home and Perfect Location!"

My experience at Castle in the sand west was nothing short of amazing!! Our entire crew had an absolute blast! The home was very clean upon arrival, and everything was just as advertised, (it was actually WAY better).

Everyone in our group loved the home, location, décor, and finishes. The views from the den and all balconies were amazing as well. There is nothing for several thousand feet to the west, so watching the afternoon sunsets over the gulf and pass was incredible.

The beaches behind the home weren't crowed at all and we had our own private beach behind the house.

We will defiantly be back and look forward to bringing more family members with us next visit.

"Amazing Family Vacation!"

We recently traveled down to Orange Beach for a family vacation with our parents and we stayed at castle in the sand west. We could not have been happier with our accommodations. The home was VERY spacious and allowed everyone to spread out when needed, but also allowed us all to be together when we wanted. The whole floor plan and overall design was very well thought out. The homes decor is top notch and the appliances and finishes are way nicer than our personal residence. We loved having two den areas and all the private balconies where incredible. Even the views from the north side balconies of the gulf and ole river where awesome!! You can see water from every bedroom in the house!! The mattresses where also very comfortable!

Our biggest concern was having another family in the other side of the property, but we would have never known they where even over there if we didn't see their cars out front and see them outside and on board walk. We have stayed at single family houses in the past, and many single family houses in the area are only 10-15 feet apart, and noise/privacy at those homes has been way more of a concern than it was at castle in the sand. We also loved having our own private heated pool and gas grill on back deck looking over the gulf. The pictures don't do the size of the pool justice. We hope to be back soon!

"Beach Wedding"

We rented the entire house for the week for a beach wedding and it was so beyond amazing. The layout was magnificent and the decor unbelievably beautiful. As a wedding coordinator, I have never used a venue more perfect. The outside decks were just right for the reception dinner on one side and the the bar and music on the other. We had a wedding day brunch and the kitchens were large a professional for the preparation. The weather was great. I would highly recommend the property for weddings, family reunions, or any large gathering. The bunk rooms upstairs was perfect for the kids and they had their own sitting area. There is a king bedroom on the ground floor for those with a problem with stairs (note that there are several stairs coming into the house and it is not handicapped accessible). There are rooms with king bed and singles for people with very young children and rooms with twins for teenagers. Everything has been completely thought out with the guest in mind. The property was spotless and large enough to accommodate all of our wedding group. Love, love, love it.

The house is amazing, very spacious and well appointed. We were a group of 8 adults, thoroughly enjoyed having our own private rooms and bathrooms also fortunate that the other side of the duplex was not rented so it was extremely private. Beach access could not be any better, the beach was pristine. Close to restaurants and shops. Perfect place to relax and unwind.

Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your beautiful beach house. This has come a tradition for our entire family (3 generations) to come to the beach and stay for a week. This was one of the best vacations yet.

Incredible accommodations, scenery of the ocean and dynamite layout for hanging out and visiting.

The LORD is so amazing with His creation and it is humbling that we could enjoy it at your beach house. What a wonderful spot to have celebrated "Good Friday".

"We will be back!"

My family stayed here this past week, there was 14 of us in total, this property was absolutely stunning! The decor,and furnishings were the nicest iv ever seen in a beach home before. The location of this property is also central to everything in gulf shores and orange beach. The grocery stores and any resturant were only minutes away. The pool was perfect, and the views from the every room in the house is incredible!! I think there is water views from every single bedroom, except one, and it looks out over the bay and ole river to the north.

The appliances were nicer than mine at my house and every detail of the home is top of the line. The mattresses were very comfortable and we loved the private covered gulf front balconies on the south side of the home.

If you can't tell, we were all blown away when we arrived and we couldn't have asked for a better trip.

"Over the top!!"

his property is truely one of the most complete vacation homes we have ever visited!! We have been traveling to the coast for 30 years staying from destin to fort Morgan and this is one of the best properties we have EVER stayed in!! Every detail about this home was well thought out, including the floor plan , two dishwashers, two ovens, two refrigerators ,three ice makers. We also loved having a natural gas grill on the balcony, they even have a charcoal grill under the home as well!!! We loved the gas range cook tops and all the large TVs in the bedrooms and dens. They also have direct tv which we loved!! . I could go on for days! The only thing that should be noted is the parking lot currently allows for 6 cars max. Greg was upfront about this and had it in his contract, but we can honestly say, this is the nicest , most complete vacation home we have ever visited !!
